REDESIGNING MY SPACES
Whenever I get that restless feeling, or when I see something in a magazine or even a movie, I start plotting how I can rearrange the things in my world.
Since I got a new bookshelf for my TBR stacks (see my quest here at Potpourri), my restless energy has taken me to what I'm showing here today.
In the photo above left, note the bookshelf, which replaces the shelving on the right.
Now isn't that much better? But, of course, I couldn't stop there. I was watching a movie about Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, and the set decorations showed a rolltop desk in Mia's bedroom. I remembered the same set-up in the movie Hannah and her Sisters...and loved the cozy feel of it.
Well, of course I had to move my rolltop desk from my entry way to the bedroom. Here I can pay bills (yeah, right!). Or write letters. Remember those? Or balance my checkbook.
Here's another view of the newly reconfigured bedroom.
A few months ago, I rearranged a few things to accommodate my exercise bike.
Do you ever get that itchy feeling that takes you to places you wouldn't have thought about? Does your rearranging of objects satisfy something within your creative soul?
I hope you'll stop by with your thoughts.

In my last place I would get restless and re-arrange the bedroom and living room.
Here, I do not have the space to re-arrange.
Have a great week

Thanks for stopping by, Carol. I have less space now than I once did...for example, I'm stuck with the living room arrangement of the couches. I can only rearrange the smaller items.
But even a little rearranging does satisfy that itch!
giggle...i thought you were just rearranging your electronic space...my thought was that dh would rather i do that then physical in the house! 'cause he would not have to strain to help!
Ah, yes, men really hate when women want to move furniture...which is why I do it myself.
My grown sons would just throw up their hands and wonder why I "need" to do it.
Thanks for stopping by, Hodgepodgespv.
